Last week I asked about what you all thought, because I wasn’t having any allergic reaction when eating my own organically grown strawberries (pictured above), but I was having severe allergic reactions when I was eating regular, commercial strawberries.
As I was beginning to suspect, I was reacting to the chemicals/pesticides that they use on the commercial crops, and not the berries themselves.
Since then, I found/bought some organic frozen strawberries at my supermarket, and I’ve eaten them and had absolutely NO REACTION AT ALL!
So, today, I actually found some fresh organic strawberries imported from the States, so I bought a pack to try out the fresh ones ($4.49 CAD / $4.07 USD… compared to $2.89 CAD/$2.62 USD)… it’s nearly $2 more than the pesticide/chemicals laden ones, but if that means that I won’t have any nasty allergic reactions and that my body won’t have to be subjected to nasty chemicals, I’m more than willing to pay for the organic strawberries!
