New member of the family - A Prairie Dog

I’m excited! I’m elated!

We have a new member of the family, the cutest little Prairie Dog ever! He/She has moved in under the front porch of our house, and it (I’ll have to say ‘it’ cuz I have no clue if it’s a boy or a girl) has been prancing around our backyard and munching on the grass out front… you can see it looking at me sideways from the hole under the porch here:

I took the picture a couple of days ago, but we’ve had nasty thunderstorms and after losing a couple of blog posts when the power went out in the middle of writing them, I decided to wait until the weather cleared once and for all to re-write my posts again. I don’t care for power outages!!!
